Description

Position Summary:

Seagen is preparing to launch tucatinib, a highly selective tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI), for HER2+ metastatic breast cancer patients in Europe.

The main purpose of this role is to formulate and implement regional reimbursement strategies to achieve and maintain optimal access for the client product indication in the German market. This includes proactively providing advice to the client product launch team regarding relevant market access-related developments where necessary and acts on requests from the launch team as well by providing in-depth market access knowledge while having a good understanding of Oncology and business unit’s needs.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Close collaboration with national and regional stakeholders (KV, Krankenkassen, MDV)
  • Consults with and acts as the local contact point for case-by-case reimbursement, InEK and sickness funds where applicable
  • Tracks legislation and regulations with respect to German market access in general
  • Support the development & implementation of supply chain strategies in the German market
  • Work closely with central market access and medical peers to achieve pre-launch objectives
  • Establish constructive relationships with KOL’s, key institutions, authorities.
  • Gather and disseminate competitive intelligence from all available sources
  • Identification and segmentation of regional stakeholders (e.g. decision-makers and opinion leaders at health insurance companies, associations of statutory health insurance physicians, association representatives, hospital pharmacists)
  • Development of regional business plans for the implementation of market access relevant activities
  • Establishing and expanding resilient customer relationships (regional stakeholders) with the aim of forming strategic partnerships
  • Monitoring and analysis of regional market conditions (access barriers, opportunities, competition) including the development and implementation of a regional market access strategy
  • Cross-functional cooperation
  • Regional health policy education and training

Qualifications:

  • Degree (MSc, PhD or PharmD) in Health Economics, Health Research or in a Pharmaceutical, Biological or Life Sciences subject or a relevant related discipline
  • 3+ years (5+ years for Senior Manager) of experience within the field of Market Access, Health Economics, Outcomes Research
  • Previous experience with regional market access related activities is required incl. strong relationship to regional stakeholders in Germany eg. sickfunds, association of statutory health insurance physicians
  • Oncology market knowledge from a commercial and clinical studies perspective is preferred
  • Experience with German pharmaco-economics/health outcomes research is very beneficial
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Business fluency in English and German
  • Attention to detail whilst able to retain a helicopter view
