Summary
Reporting to the Senior Director of Enterprise Knowledge Management (EKM) within Seagen’s Global Information Technology organization, the Associate Director & M365 Product Owner - Collaborations co-authors the enterprise knowledge management technology strategy and roadmap (in partnership with the Head of EKM) and operationalizes the strategy into meaningful objectives and results in support of the Corporate and IT long term and short-term strategies, partnering across the enterprise.
In this role, the ideal candidate is Seagen’s de facto Product Owner of M365 and non-M365 enterprise-wide, knowledge management and collaboration technology. The candidate will operationalize the EKM technology strategy (maturity model and roadmap), implementing knowledge management technology solutions at Seagen. The candidate will have operational authority and oversight of the M365 product suite (Viva, Power Platform, Teams, SharePoint, etc.) and be directly responsible for platform/application implementation, governance, management, and support. In addition, the candidate will lead and manage a team (architects, administrators, technical specialists) who will assist in these areas of responsibility.

Principal Responsibilities:
- People Manager:
- Leads, manages, and develops a team (architects, administrators, technical specialists) who are:
- Responsible for implementing enterprise-wide knowledge management and collaboration technology (M365 and non-M365)
- Responsible for platform and application maintenance/support of the M365 product suite (Teams, SharePoint, Viva, Power Platform, etc.)
- Strategist/Diplomat:
- Co-authors the knowledge management technology strategy including associated maturity models and roadmaps in partnership with the Senior Director of Enterprise Knowledge Management
- Drives the associated maturity model and roadmap for EKM technology (M365 and non-M365)
- Leads and galvanizes technology governance committees and working groups
- Leads the product release of M365 and non-M365 collaboration technology in partnership with other Global IT partners and stakeholders
- Build relationships with key stakeholders within IT and across the Seagen organization
- Product Expert:
- Provides product expertise on knowledge management and collaboration technology in a GxP environment, with a specific emphasis on M365 product suite
- Can convey and speak to 360-degree stakeholders in a manner that leads to understanding and alignment (refrains from technical jargon or “tech-speak”)
- Leads and execute on projects to advance the knowledge management technology strategy through individual contribution and/or project leadership
- Lead and contribute to cross-functional initiatives
Qualifications:
- Skilled professional whose wisdom and expertise enables the candidate to be more forward-thinking as well as a skilled business partner with senior leaders in the organization.
- Technical acumen in knowledge management and collaboration technology (M365 and non-M365) in a GxP environment.
- Strong, documented experience in operationalizing strategy (i.e., turning strategy into action and driving for results).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work in partnership with others across levels of leadership in a collaborative or advisory role.
- Strong planning, organization, and analytical skills.
- Strong written and oral presentation skills.
- Staff/resource planning and management experience with employees, contractors, and temporary labor.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple projects or activities simultaneously.
- Ability to establish and manage multiple competing priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision.
- Experience establishing effective partnerships within and outside the organization; maintains productive and positive interpersonal relationships.
- Ability to mentor, coach and effectively transfer expertise to others
Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and develop staff.
- Experience in the biopharma industry strongly preferred.
- Willingness to travel, including internationally (10%).
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree plus 10+ years’ experience
- Masters in technical, scientific, information, or management field preferred
